ACE Student Showcase 2024
The 2024 ACE Mentor San Diego Student Showcase and Scholarship Awards will be held on Saturday, May 18th, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
ACE students will be presenting their final projects followed by the Scholarship Awards ceremony. Everyone is invited and lunch will be provided to all who register.

2023 Trades Day - Gaylord Pacific resort and convention center
On Saturday, November 4th, ACE Mentor San Diego students and parents participated in our Third Annual Trades Day at the Gaylord Pacific Resort and Convention Center. Students were able to experience firsthand how the various Trades help build the new premier convention center and were able to tour the project site.
Thank you to the participating Trades for creating a successful day: Dynalectric, MMJV, Milwaukee, Williams and Sons Masonry, TNT Excavation, Brady/Standard Drywall, Control Air Mechanical, and Murray Plumbing.
We're excited to continue Trades Day so that our students can explore the many career opportunities in the AEC industries.
2023 Kick - Off Event
Our year got off to an amazing start as we had many industry friends attend our Kick-Off event to get involved to mentor some exceptional high school students! Thank you to DPR Construction for graciously hosting us. We're grateful to everyone who showed up, supporting both us and the future AEC professionals.
2023 Donor and Mentor Appreciation Event
On Thursday, June 8th, 2023, we celebrated a fantastic year by thanking our program's Donors, Team Leaders, Mentors, and supporters at the San Diego Central Library! The evening was filled with heartfelt stories and warm reminiscences of the year's successes. We had a wonderful time celebrating our accomplishments and recognizing all who have helped us along this journey. Thank you to everyone who has supported our program, and we look forward to another amazing year!
2023 Student Showcase
We had an incredible time at our 2023 ACE Mentor Student Showcase on Saturday, May 6th, at SDSU!
ACE San Diego Students presented the projects they have been working on this school year to industry leaders, peers, family members, and guests.
Not only did we get to see these impressive presentations, we awarded over $200,000 worth of scholarships to ACE San Diego juniors and seniors, thanks to industry donors! We are so proud of all the hard work that our students put in this year, and it was amazing to see how far they have come!
Trades Day 2022 - Seaworld
Another fantastic Trades Day for the ACE Mentor San Diego students!
On Friday, December 2nd, our students were able to meet and work directly with the Clark Construction crew who are currently building the new Arctic Rescue roller coaster at SeaWorld. In addition to a behind-the-scenes tour, they did hands-on projects with the Electrical, Framing and Drywall, HVAC, Plumbing, Steel subcontractors.
Thank you to Clark Construction Group, Industrial Commercial Systems, Inc., Dynalectric San Diego, Asbury Steel, Inc., and The Raymond Group for sharing your industry knowledge with our students.
We would also like to thank H+W Engineering, Inc., KTUA Landscape Architecture and Planning, KPFF Consulting Engineers, Schmidt Design Group, and Kearny High School for providing PPE for our students.
We look forward to continuing Trades Day to expose our students to the many great Trades careers in the AEC industry!

ACE Mentor Appreciation Happy Hour
We had an amazing time celebrating and thanking our Mentors at our Mentor Appreciation Happy Hour!
Our program would not be where it is without the help of our mentors, and we want to thank you for all that you do.

2022 CU Denver ACE summer camp
This year 5 students from our affiliate were able to attend the 2022 CU Denver ACE Student Summer Camp. This week-long camp (including airfare + housing + food) are being offered at no cost to you: The San Diego ACE Board of Directors has allocated a set amount so that we can send five of our students to this camp for free.
Program Overview: Faculty from CU Denver’s architecture program will lead an investigation in design, digital fabrication, and sustainable design. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a design-build project with other students from ACE Mentor affiliates across the US. Evenings and additional activities will include exploring all that Denver and the Rocky Mountains have to offer.

Sketching and building of models
The opportunity to work in architectural design software
The opportunity to use tools and machinery
Designing, planning and fabrication of a project
Guest lectures and site visits with industry experts
Experience living on campus in a university residential hall

Social activities such as bowling, amusement parks, Meow Wolf, sketch hikes in the mountains, and more
2022 trades day - Snapdragon Stadium
On Friday, March 18th, We held our first ever Trades Day at the iconic SDSU Snapdragon Stadium.
ACE Mentor students got to learn and practice new skills from different ACE trades and even got to tour the new stadium!

2022 Student Showcase
On Saturday, May 7, 2022, we celebrated our student's achievements and hard work this school year at our 2022 Student Showcase!
During the 2021-2022 school year, our students have been preparing a design-build project covering architecture, engineering, and construction to present at our Student Showcase. It was amazing to have friends, family, and industry supporters come to see the ACE Mentor San Diego students shine. Thank you to our Board of Directors, Team Leaders, Mentors, Teachers, and Sponsors for helping us have an amazing year for our students!
